I was going to vote for Obama, but seeing as I'd have to drive five hours to vote and I CANNOT STAND Biden, I'm not sure if I'll bother.
Besides, Utah ALWAYS goes red. Always. |

oh, hush. some people are able to have meaningless sex and separate it from meaningful relationships, myself included. telling her boyfriend would be self serving as it would only help to relieve her of her guilt. i don't have an opinion of what she should do but she's evidently made a decision based on the nature of her relationships, which obviously she knows much more about.
tiffgirl, it sounds like self-destructive behaviour which you probs know already, but bear in mind that it is self destructive rather than grief destructive, if that makes sense. obviously, the loss of your sister is an incredibly difficult thing to deal with and people react in varying ways, tending to lean towards patterns of behaviour they've learnt in other circumstances. if you do tend to react in a self destructive way, try and be aware of that for now and for next time. i'm sorry, that's as helpful as i can be. i really hope that you come out of this though. |

im sure there must be a difference between generic and brand name. i know that whenever i've taken generic diazepam it's done very little, whereas brand name valium (same dose) has a different effect. |

psych problems can be more subtle, as I have demonstrated with my very recent realization. The first time it happened, I also didn't realize the connection for months.
I am so blown away right now. makes so much sense... |

I'm fine now, for now. I'm not bleeding heavily, more normally. The heaviness is coming and going, and I'm not soaing through pads in less than 2 hours. I'm just more or less worried about the clots.
Ever since I started using birth control, I'm used to really light periods. :S I'm going to call my mom.
Also, I think I will be going off the BC for a bit after this. I'm scared of it, and it isn't like I don't know what a condom is, but I'm forgetting what sex is :p [This post edited by *NOA* on 27 August 2008 ] |

oh. my. GOD. I just realized - i've been feeling extremely unhappy/anxiety this summer, which coincides with my change to the generic (aviane or something). WOW! can't believe I never noticed that connection, huh. |

I have no idea. I just know mine's cheap. It's...Lutera, I think. I never worried about any psychological problems like that though, and it's officially over a week for me. Hopefully I'll be okay. |

I've been on Alesse for about 3 years and now the generic. nothing like that happened to me, just got quite depressed when I FIRST started (didn't feel a change with the generic).
I'd go back to the doctor, especially after the warning about the towel-pad. |

I went on the generic brand of Alesse for a month, and a week after I started taking it I got insanely depressed again and cried all the time, thought about injuring myself or just committing suicide altogether.
But as soon as I started the bran name back up I was fine. But aren't they both the same? Could there be something in the generic brand that's not in the other one? |

If I were you I would go get that checked out by a doctor. My mom started out that way, and eventually it got so bad she had to lay with a towel wrapped around her bottom because pads just weren't enough. One night she had to go to the emergency because the clots just kept coming and the blood just kept coming, and she almost bled to death.
I am on Alesse and have no trouble at all with it, but everyone is different. I don;t know if what you are experiencing would be related to it or not, and I don't think anyone else here can tell you if it is either.
Go to the doctor, Missy. |

Oh, way to scare me. I can't help you at all, since I just started on a generic of Alesse. I'll be throwing my period off by a month, and I'm worried that my body is going to revolt like that, because it really does sound BC related.
I have had some intense nausea, though. That was fun. Luckily, the only side effect so far.
ETA: I've definitely heard of things happening before like that because someone's body didn't agree with the BC. I think it's normal. [This post edited by sweetpealv123 on 27 August 2008 ] |

I'm sure it's normal, but it could just be that alesse isn't for you. i haven't been on it, but i think the brand names are different in north america. i'd continue with it until you can get to see your doctor though. |

WARNING, I am going to be gross and try to describe what is going on.
I've had my period since last thursday, and it started off normal, but around Saturday I started having this horrible bloating and pressure pains around my pelvic area (right below my belly button), and my period started getting heavier, as normal. Sunday, it started getting really bad. The pain was getting worse. I started passing clots, which were small so I thought it was just cramps. Monday, the pain was still there, and I figured it was my bowel, so I took some natural laxatives, which did nothing, and the clots started getting bigger, and my period heavier. The clots are now big enough to feel being passed.
The heaviness comes and goes, it seems, and everytime I pass a clot. It seems to be realated to the pain as I haven't had as much pain as I've had all day, and my period seems lighter. There is still pressure and I'm bloated as fuck. The pain is kind of dull and achy.
Could this be related to my BC? I haven't had this type of problem with any other before. I'm definately going to get an exam when I can, but is this fucking normal?! Anyone experience this? |
